The mirrors snap on. Just snap the RHD ones off and attach the LHD ones. If not swap the motor assemblies attached to the USDM mirrors in place of the RHD ones and wire up the switch. Oh, you need the switch too

All I know is that my 1997 BMW M3 the driver side M3 mirror bracket was either slightly more longer or shorter than the passanger side. They were effectively different part numbers. Check out a UK spec Zee. Notice one mirror sticks out further. |
Mmm I didn't know that lol I have to check mine tomorrow lol....do you have that feature in your car?

Hello, hope it's not an issue to raise a really old thread, but I figured there's no point in starting a new one when this one fits the bill.
So, I have a 2009 370z, with the foldable mirrors. The car needs to be in the ACC mode to get the mirrors working. My question is - is it possible to have the feature automatic? So that I don't have to manually close/open mirrors, but that it happens automatically when I turn the car off/on? Thanks for the info. |

Hello Filip00, the answer to your question is yes. You can do that with a relay. Ignition on powers relay sends power to mirrors to open , and ignition off relay relaxes and power is sent to the mirrors to closed position. If you can get me the wiring diagram i can lay it out for you. Just remember that the switch on door will no longer work. You can only have one or the other. Also the door switch controls this function which makes it easy, cause it does not go through the BCM. I will require a bit of disassembly and at the end not worth the trouble unless you know someone that can do it correctly. I did convert my existing mirrors on my 2009 to folding mirrors and it works just like yours.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with. my e-mail is : javbat@hotmail.com Best Regards Javier |
