Default Weird clunking noise!

So i took my car for a drive this morning and when i let my foot off the gas from 3000rpm down there was a loud grinding noise coming from underneath my seat.. hfc or exhaust?!?
sound went away after a few min of driving.. still tripped me out though!

Just put on a berk hfc and ark exhaust last week.. not sure if this sound is normal till it heats up

Hmmnn, thats weird. Its a grinding noise? i dont see how a grinding sound could be from an exhaust issue. Hard to tell, hopefully you figure it out sooner than later... any other out of the normal things happening?

It could be the exhaust system bumping the frame or other part of the car. Maybe happening fast enough that it sounds like a grind.

Could be your exhaust rattling when coming into contact with the crossbar underneath which is common with most exhaust systems as they are low. A few washers added underneath the exhaust where it meets the crossbar will fix this issue. Check if its that

If it doesn't do it when you take it out again...maybe it was a small dead limb you picked up during the earlier drive. They can make some strange sounds and are easily picked up. Just a thought.

That's where my train of thoughts were going. If it wasn't repeatable immediately, debris in your wheel well could reverberate to under your seat if a branch or coat hanger (had that for 2 days on my slammed Integra - until I could get it to our air lifts).

Hopefully everything's okay.

Did you ever figure out what the noise was? I am experiencing the same thing.

I had the problem as well. My exhaust was banging against the rear sway bar I believe. I couldnt get the washer method to work so I just wrapped the part of the exhaust that hit the bar with exhaust wrap and the noise disappeared
