Default Back in the shop again

When I last posted, my clutch had gone to the floor and I had a long drive home, at night, in 3rd gear and unable to stop until I was in my driveway. The dealer sad the clutch fluid was dirty, they flushed it out and it seemed to work but felt "different." The last two weeks, he clutch throw has become shorter and shorter and, yo guessed it, down to the floor. I checked the fluid level and it was low (which did not happen the last time). I was able to pump the clutch, after adding fluid, and get it back to normal. But, after sitting an hour, the pedal goes almost to the floor. Pump it up and repeat process. I dropped it off at the dealer Sunday night. My warranty covers the slave cylinder ($1300+ is what I was told to replace it) but wears off in 2 weeks so I am hoping they take care of it. No fun.

Sounds like it is indeed the CSC. Make sure they replace the master cylinder at the same time, or you'll be back again soon.

Yep, CSC failure. When the pedal drops to the floor, that means air has gotten into the system. I have no idea why mechanics think by bleeding the system that everything will be ok.

Default Thank you both

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. The last time, they told me it was just dirty clutch fluid and they bled the line. Seemed to work but the clutch never felt right after that. I have babied the car and not raced it so I knew it wasn't from that. I told them what I suspected and they said they hadn't heard about problems with the slave and master cylinder. I went online and it is all over the internet. Thanks everyone. I'll let you know what happens.

They're either ignorant or liars. Possibly both. I would be looking for a new dealer. GL with everything.
