Op said it would cost him $70 in Kuwait to get the dyno graph so that's a no go. He gave his final numbers, but we don't know his baseline, though it was contextually suggested that he was at 348whp before the cams.

yeh its a pity, they made good cams for vq35 and had good reference info and all.

surely there should be a lot to gain with aggressive exhaust cams and properly tuned vvel?

not sure how wide vvel's range is but it seems like it can increase the lift to a point where the valves it will actually hit the piston, and wide range of duration control. its like god given cam shaft.. if it can be tuned easily..!

20whp from jun cam sounds very good already but they dont seem to share the reference dyno and etc!

From the questions I have asked some companies about cams was they were waiting for VVEL to be tunable but on the same side tuning VVEL was not a strong push because no cams were out to maximize results.

I know uprev has opened up VVEL tuning in its pro level software package and ECUtek is suppose to have it.

My proplem solve with vvel rest

Thank you navyboy918 and cdoxb800

Who did the tune for you ? Bader Norris ? ;)
5w30 redline oil ? was that the same oil you put in when you first started the engine after the cams installed ?

anyways, for those who worried about pistons/valves contact, i would recommend CP pistons for you ;)

How's the car running after tunning? Do you have any videos?

I just don't understand why it is so difficult to post results from this upgrade. It must be super classified information.

From what I have read, these cams were OK to be used with the stock tune. Doesn't seem like there would be gains at all. I'm not surprised that we haven't seen results.
