This is always how I begin. Depending on the work, this isn't always the case when I finish. I practically needed a six pack just to limber up so I could contort myself under the dash to install my RJM clutch pedal assembly. And then there's the time I didn't have all the tools, so I had to call my buddy to drive across town - I might have had a few too many while waiting as he had to finish up the work for me :icon17:

You are a good man and you impress me with your willingness to be a human being here -- warts and all.

Good job, my friend.

:icon17: I hear ya :tiphat:

The first time I did the differential and transmission fluid changes on the Z, I was at my buddy's place using his ramps. We did it on an incline such that having one set of wheels on ramps made the car level with enough room under the car by the ramps. For safety, we put jack stands under the car as well. After the transmission flush, we needed to turn the car around to do the differential. Backing it off the ramps, I hear a loud metal bang and scrape - we forgot to take the jack stands out :shakes head:

Live and learn, right? Apparently not :eekdance:

My buddy was driving it off the ramps after doing the differential flush and same $hit - we forgot to remove the jack stands

Thanks, I appreciate it a lot. I try to be nice and entertaining even when I am totally narked off. A bit like now, I used the hair dryer and eventually messaged the ding in the lower middle of the bumper out as best I could. The devil inside me wants to keep at it until its like brand new! I know in my heart however it will never be like brand new but why keep going until you destroy it? Welcome to my life :shakes head:

Putting under tray back and gonna write up my oil change in the service book and staple receipt in there also, in case I need to make a warranty claim in the future. I dont want Nissan to think I never changed the oil or maintained the car...

Don't sweat that. There are plenty of cyber-witnesses here. ;)
