Default car starts, but wont acelerate more than 1500rpm

its a 2014 with less than 10k miles on it but what i notice is that, it wont acelerate up to 1500.. thinking it was in limp mode,, so i take out the battery for about 10 minutes put it back in and the check engine was off but the thing same thing happen. i also checked the oil. now im hoping its in valet mode or theft mode.. i dont know how to function those options cause i just got the car, ive looked everywhere for the solution and nothing has help.. some said it was maf sensor or throttle, which it isnt either. any ideas? please help!

also once im in the map mode, how do i know which one im in? i heard theres 5 so what is the order?
once i do get into valet or theft how do i change the settings?
ive read the manual of the car but i dont think its in there.

If your car has an UpRev tune, this is how you can change maps.

I hope it helps? From Uprev Q&A

How does map switching work?
Using the Cruise Control Buttons...
-Hold the set/coast toggle down
-Press "Cancel" once for map 1, twice for map 2, etc...
-Then release the set/coast toggle.
-When you release the toggle, the cruise "SET" light on the dash will blink once for map 1, twice for map 2, etc...

UpRev tune... Changing maps?

Typical maps are:

1: Tuned Map for 91 Octane
2: Tuned Map for Higher Octane
3: Valet
4: Anti-Theft
5: Factory Maps

If you look at the youtube video and follow how to change it? and your does not blink as many times as the map your wanting to use?

You have no tuning software installed and you may just need to have it looked at your local nissan dealer since you've already disconnected the battery to reset the ecu.

You only have different tuning maps if you have a tune (and not all tunes have maps) - it's not a factory option.

Beg/borrow/steal an OBD scanner and see if there are any error codes (DTCs) set. The car is pretty good at diagnosing itself. Record any DTCs and then clear them using the scanner.

If the scanner doesn't point you in the right direction, give us a better description of what going on (MT or AT, any mods, other problems/lights, &c) and someone should be able to help.

Edit: If the car thinks the brake pedal is pressed, it will limit power/RPM. Check the brake pedal switches (see FSM).

Just throwing this out there But how hot was the oil temp?

If it was over 250 it will also cause it to go into Limp mode.

The FSM has diagnostics for most problems you're likely to run into with a Z. A must-have if you plan on DIYing. Follow link in my sig.
