There is a Mocal 200 degree thermostatic plate. I have it on my car instead of the 180 degree one. Also, I don't think the oil lines drain every time

There is a Mocal 200 degree thermostatic plate. I have it on my car instead of the 180 degree one.
Also, I don't think the oil lines drain every time you shut off the engine. Wouldn't that oil be pulling a vacuum as it is pulled down by gravity? There's no air available to displace the oil in the lines right? Maybe I don't understand how the oil system is plumbed, but that is what I thought.
