I imagine that cost is a bit of a factor, but there are ways to make even a steel pulley lighter (weight relief) - why would Nissan opt to go with a heavier crank pulley?
Would there be any detrimental effects of using a lightweight pulley? Next, in relation to using an underdrive pulley vs stock size pulley - I realize the underdrive would have more of the benefit of an easier time turning the accessories on the engine due to there being a different ratio, but, how much power is "gained" simply from it being a lightweight pulley...vs a lightweight underdrive pulley? |
