***Fast Intentions Oil Cooler Kit: Official Release***

A New Year and a new product from Fast Intentions for the Nissan 370Z community!

We know that the market has a handful of kits already out there. We have even sold a few over the years to our customers.

With the development of our Twin Turbo Kit we incorporated an Oil Cooler Kit into it. We started thinking...Why not offer you (the community) our own oil cooler kit to compliment our exhaust and turbo kit.

After months of testing this kit on a 2012 NISMO, we are proud to release our Nissan 370Z (34 row oil cooler kit). It is no secret that the engine oil temperature runs excessively hot from the factory. Our oil cooler kit will bring those temperatures down substantially. N/A to Turbocharged, Base model to NISMO, and all model years 2009+ this kit is the perfect compliment to your 370Z!

PRODUCT INFO
•34 Row Setrab Series 6 Core

•"O Ring" / -8 AN Fittings

•Fast Intentions -8 Aircraft grade stainless steel braided lines. (Assembled and crimped in house)

•Mocal: Non thermostatic and thermostatic sandwich adapter options are available.

•All mounting hardware is included.

•Detailed installation instructions are included

BENEFITS
•A substantial decrease in engine oil temperature for daily driving as well as track use.

•The Setrab and Mocal components are of the highest quality and widely respected and used throughout the industry.

•Our stainless steel braided lines are more industrial than the competition. We crimp our fittings to the lines opposed to the "screw on style". This will reduce the chance of a leak at that connection point. Our lines also have a "Teflon" inner liner unlike the standard rubber liner used with other kits. The Teflon can handle higher amounts of pressure and is less susceptible to deterioration over time.

•Thermostatic sandwich adapter (optional). In colder climates this option is recommended. The thermostat in the sandwich adapter will not open until your engine oil reaches operating temperature allowing your car to warm up faster.

•Base, Sport and NISMO model compatible.

•Tried and proven on a 2012 370Z which comes equipped from the factory with an OEM coolant recirculation system. Nissan equipped all 2012+ models with this system in an effort to cool down the engine oil. In actuality the system does very little to cool down oil and in retrospect, heats up the coolant. Our kit eliminates this OEM system with very little work and allows you to utilize our kit.

•Detailed step by step installation instructions.

99% sure that it is compatible. The 1% open for chance is the fact that I have not done an install yet on the G. I feel bad too about the G. With the amount of work that we have put in to the Z, I have had not time to work on the G. Rest assured, our full product line for the Z will be available for the G...soon!

Thanks, Tony

Will it fit with Stillen Gen3 intakes?

Also at what point do you recommend the thermostatic plate? How cold does it need to get to require one?

The prototype was on a 2012 370Z Nismo and we did add Stillen Gen III intakes at the same time with no issues.

Given your climate in Orlando, I think that you are good to go with the Non Thermostatic plate.

Thank you, Tony

After the quality I had in your exhaust system I won't hesitate to buy this unit from you guys when the time comes. I'm glad to see you guys expanding your product lines. Quality of this caliber is rare in this day and age.

Speedy,

To this day I still recommend your DYI video for the installation of our exhaust.

Thank you for the support and we look forward to hearing from you when you are ready.

Thank you, Tony

I second this. By the way Speedy I appreciate your instrumental video during my installation of the exhaust system. As you did, I removed the stock hangers and brackets to ease the installation.

Compressed fittings FTW

jaze55 01-05-2014 05:38 AM

I am from Australia, all our cars are equipped with the oem coolant oil cooler. I assume your kit removes the oem coolant sandwich plate and blocks off the inlet & outlet coolant lines of the coolant sandwich plate?

I had the Z1 kit previously, it was a nightmare to connect up due to the oem coolant sandwich plate taking up additional space.

synolimit 01-05-2014 05:44 AM

Damn took my idea.

jooonnn 01-17-2014 07:45 PM

I really want to pair this with a set of FI LTH's too but i don't know if i can handle the LTH install myself and i'd rather not drive out 5+ hours to a shop to install them :'(

Give me a call, we can discuss options as well as reputable places to take it if you do not want to try the install yourself.

Thanks, Tony

Damn! I wish I new you were doing this Tony! Would've saved me the trouble of dealing with the Z1 crap kit that didn't fit right!

Yeah, we lagged for years on coming out with this kit. Well...it is here now!

I am assuming since it did not fit you are not running it?

If you are in the market for one, give me a call.

Thanks, Tony

Well....the car is in storage for the winter here. It's on there but I had to route the lines goofy to make it fit. "They" sent me the wrong ones and refuse to send me the right ones until I take them off and measure them and send them pics. The pics I sent to them with the goofy routing wasn't good enough for them. So they won't even talk to me right now. Haven't responded to my last couple emails. They left me at "it'll work fine the way it is". So right now it's on there. But I'm not driving the car. I might pull the bumper and take out the lines when I put your CBE and HFCs on when they come. I wish I could sell it and just buy your kit. But nobody is going to buy it with these lines. Maybe I'll talk to you about buying some lines from you when my number comes up for the exhaust!

Meulen 01-18-2014 12:56 PM

Btw....I'm sending the link to this thread to jlo370z. He's been monitoring my situation closely before he bought one for his Z. He's familiar with your work and I'm sure he'll be happy to see your kit come out.

Ajax576 01-18-2014 11:31 PM

Tony,

Got this kit from ya along with the LTH & TDX. Worth every penny. Your products are top notch, Your packaging was top notch, and you sir are top notch. I was impressed with everything from the packing all the way to the welds and that beautiful black coating! Still in the process of installing but from what I can tell I see zero fitment issues. Not that I expected any. I appreciate all the late after work phone calls and discussions to get exactly what fit me. Not pushing for the "up-sale" but rather what "I" wanted. Ended up with most options anyway lol.

It is quite a relief to open all this up and have zero disappointment and feel good about how much I spent.

If anyone is on the fence on his oil cooler kit and/or exhaust, give him a call and you'll be glad ya did.

Regards

Brad

Tony, are you pre-building the oil coolers or are they built to order? If built to order, what's the lead time? I'm loving the exhaust...! Thanks:tup:

Brad,

Thank you for the positive feedback! With the black ceramic coating on your headers, you are one of two out there. I am defiantly looking forward to seeing finished pictures of your install.

Thanks, Tony

Once we are stocked up, the oil kits generally will ship in less than a week from being ordered. We are trying to stock up on parts sandwich adapters, oil coolers, etc.

Thanks, Tony

N8GTOL 01-25-2014 10:28 AM

I'm glad I've hesitated so long to pull the trigger on a cooler from two of your other competitors! I think I know where my tax refund is going this year.

Question: After you assemble the crimped lines in house, do you do a pressure leak check? If so what PSI?

Keep the new products coming! Still loving my FI exhaust!

gbrettin 01-25-2014 07:45 PM

I'm planning on getting this oil cooler shortly. Tony, is there a combo deal for the oil cooler and some test pipes. :)

LostSol 04-08-2015 10:24 AM

I installed the Fast Intentions oil cooler this past weekend, and I have the oil cooler whine that everyone here is speaking of, it sounds like when you have a bad PS pump. It increases and decreases with RPMs, and really only starts once the engine/oil have warmed.

I replaced the filter last night out of caution, retorqued the sandwich plate and all the AN fittings, but the sound is still there. Its loud enough for me to hear in the car while driving in 1st and 2nd gears.

Any thoughts on this FI guys?

Mine does it to, im pretty sure its not just the F.I. oil coolers that cause this either. There is a thread about it somewhere I will try and find it.

LostSol 04-08-2015 11:22 AM

Yeah i posted in that thread too. so its not something to be concerned about?

Elmo370z 11-03-2015 02:14 PM

Do you need a different oil filter? I'll be installing mine shortly. I have a 2009 non nismo touring worth sport package.

Stock filters are not a problem. I have an FI 34 row oil cooler kit also.

AV8rZ 12-18-2015 11:20 AM

Received my oil cooler in the mail about a week ago! Haven't even had time to open the box. If only my #1320 exhaust came as fast.

Made to order. I believe they were out if the cores when I ordered mine in the beginning of November but were on order. They probably have them ready to ship at this point since have mine.

Ive been searching for oil coolers for my 15 Z Nismo and from wat im seeing i think i made my choice to go with fast intentions but will it fit?? Cus every other company keeps saying except for the 15+ Nismo???

AV8rZ 03-02-2016 03:33 PM

Installed mine a couple weeks ago. Very easy to over tighten the fittings that screw into the oil cooler! Can't stress that enough. I did. Learn from my mistake. I crushed the O-ring. Works great. F.I. were very helpful throughout everything.

B&W_Evader 09-10-2017 08:47 PM

Installed

3 Attachment(s)
Bought received and installed in under a week. Wanted to do a quick write-up to share my experience. Fit was amazingly good. Perfect length, end bends were clocked so tubes are tucked and aligned perfect. Originally though they were going to be an issue but once attached it all fell into place. Everything is super tight, tighter than I would like but I don't think that would be any different no matter what brand you buy. Make sure you check placement against the sway bar. Lift the front end because the gap changes a lot as the swaybar rotates. I ended up having to shift mine a bit after I saw how the gap changed. Love the crimped ends. Super high quality kit and would recommend it to others.

Elmo370z 12-24-2018 02:54 PM

Anyone know the size of the bolt and torque spec on the thermostatic plate. Mine keeps coming loose after I take off the oil filter
