Im almost done with a production list for the website. once im done ill post it up. Id like to add a vote feature where members can vote up or down the priority of each project.

Alstann 01-16-2014 12:54 PM

We all better vote up these throttle bodies. :D

NeverBoneStck 01-16-2014 02:24 PM

Don't forget us g37 peeps .. Same throttle bodies as well and I am down ..

AzSpeng 01-16-2014 02:26 PM

I am a skilled machinist. boring a tb is a walk in the park.

What are you think size size wise? What about new butterfly's so the port isn't a waste?

1slow370 01-16-2014 09:17 PM

butterflys are easy the hard part is going to be the new axle required for the larger butterfly. the butterfly slot is a bitch to cut i'm sure he has the equipment tho. One hint tho the butterfly blade is harder than you first think but easy once you figure it out.

Edit: Never underestimate a good machinist especially if they have past production and job shop experience we can do anything given enough time and the right price.

AzSpeng 01-16-2014 09:24 PM

Have you by chance seen my facebook?

1slow370 01-16-2014 09:35 PM

yep. Clean shop. the slots a bitch cus it's square ended goes through a 3/8ish axle has to be dead nuts true, parallel and centered on that axle oh and they are usually just a hair over .062 wide. They stock shafts are usually pretty worn so it is best not to modify/reuse them. I've seen your equipment so i know you have the stuff to do it and i'm sure you'll be fine. There are a couple other surprises in the vhr throttles but I can't give the whole game away. Also the factory manifold can't be opened up much so there are only minimal gains anyway.

You wouldn't need a new axle. You just need a large diameter plate. Take the plate off, pull out the axle, do your business, reinstall axle with larger plate, done.

AzSpeng 01-16-2014 09:41 PM

I have a waterjet on the way and edm work is just a rock toss down the road. ill know more once i have one in my hands.

1slow370 01-16-2014 09:42 PM

larger diameter plate = wider slot in the axle

SlowZ 01-17-2014 02:49 PM

How would the gains look with Stillen g3's, an m370 or Z1's intake manifold, along with the ported tb's

Dirtkawracer 01-21-2014 11:28 PM

Interested to see where this goes

Who wants to start a round Robbin buy program kind of thing?

It'd work by me for example buying off eBay or somewhere the cheapest throttle bodies and manifold I can find. I'll send it to get ported. Then I'll take my OEM stuff off and install the new ported parts. Then you buy off me what I paid for the TB's and mani. You then send mine in to be ported and it just keeps going. Many of us use these cars for DD so no one will have a down car and you'll get your money right back from the next guy.

Anyone?

Or if someone knows someone that bought a motordyne that'd like to donate a mani that'd be great.

DEpointfive0 01-22-2014 12:31 AM

^I sent TBs.
I can send a 370Z manifold too

Spohn swears by Z1 on like 3 different cars he saw a nice 10hp increase!

I'm thinking of doing this too, might as well do it all.

On the manifolds, you're just smoothing out the rough ridges right? That can be done at home.

Port matching and smoothing the ports. Yep.

Boring out insides too. If you have the skills go ahead. If not, taking to much or making it wavy inside won't be good.

Dammit guys, stop making me spend money!!

Zdayz 2014!!
