Hi,

Thank for anwers.
Sorry for my english...
For more information.
I have 370z 7AT limited slip EU, with (OEM 47/14) 3.357 final drive on the car. . there are cooling fin under pumpkin. No cooling fin on cover.with 48 teeth on ABS flange. I have no problem. My only problem, LSD are to much dangerous and Quaife are much more better.

I have old pumpkin 350z, 46/13 = 3.538 with Quaife (QDF13L) , 46 teeth on ABS flange. There are cooling fin under pumpkin and on cover.it is 5.4% final drive better than 7AT. with 46 teeth on ABS flange, making 4.3% less teeth than 370z. from I understand, the ECU will see 5.4/4.3= 1% wheel speed less.

EU pumpkin is littel bit different than US. It change under with cooling fin.

I don’t want to ECU flash. At first, I was not understand how EcuTek running. I was thinking to OBDII key EcuTek permit to unloock some car limits ( if the OBDII key EcuTek stay in OBD car). But, it is not, it is true ECU flash.

I need to keep outside 7AT pumpkin original aspect. With cooling fin under pumpkin. No cooling fin on cover.

i have read lot of post about to change final drive other than 3.357 on 7AT. There are some problem with Cruise control. But, for me, it means, in bad driving situation, i will not have full ABS and ESP performance. Only bad situation will permit to see a problem, but it will be to late during bad situation.
To use my Quaife will need 2 x 370z flange and cover wihtout cooling fin aspect.

I have 3 solutions. To use :
-my 350z Quaife 3.538 with 350z flanges
- my 350z Quaife 3.538 with 370z flanges
-to buy Quaife QDF18L with 370z 7AT pumpkin. with 370z flanges. The best for no problem with ABS, ESP, cruise control, "downshift rev matching" …

-my 350z Quaife 3.538 with 350z flanges
From i understand, ECU will see 5.4/4.3= 1% of difference on wheel. But i don’t know the disturbance
for ABS and ESP, cuise control and "downshift rev matching" . torque converter clutch accept arround 5% yield sliding. i think "downshift rev matching" will be full ok. But , there are difference between front wheel and rear wheel ABS, and ESP performance.
What will happen for "downshift rev matching", ABS, ESP and cuise control ?

- my 350z Quaife 3.538 with 370z flanges
What the 370z flanges will change about ABS, ESP and "downshift rev matching" , Cruise control problem performance?

- 370z 7AT ,47/14, 48 teeth ABS pumpkin with Quaife QDF18L.
All will run, but no more performance… but fully safety

i don't know if ABS, ESP, "downshift rev matching" and Cruise control will
run for perfect and will accept some yield sliding.

if you have any council... but i think, i will sale my 350z Quaife 3.538, and i will buy 370z 7AT ,47/14, 48 teeth ABS pumpkin with Quaife QDF18L...

Thanks
Xavier

xavier:
Before i swapped my RC33 (3.357) diff to the RC36 (3.692); I installed a Quaife QDF10L,,,which was the only traction device at the time for the factory 3.357 A/T diff.
It performed really well & would bite hard when tires were hot...Though i was told that if one rear wheel was lifted-the raised wheel would spin only.
The Wavetrac helical lsd is supposed to be a step above the Quaife...Just wasn't available for the 3.357 gear'd diff at the time.
I got the Nismo diff RC36 (3.692) & only removed rear cover/flushed & installed new oil & bushings.
I never counted toner ring teeth; as these work the speedometer as well as abs...all worked great. Just with cruise control on, ecu would get confused as the rpm's neared 3k & Z wasn't running 90mph (like factory)....as long as i stayed below 75 or so...cruise was fine.
rev match,up-shift,down shift was perfect & speedometer was dead on with 27" tall rear rubber.
I'll add a few pics....But performance was enhanced w/gear swap.

Be sure & install some good bushings while diff is out,,,I used Z1’s poly bushings; though others have used solid...good luck

Hi,

sorry, end of years take time, and work to much...
thanks for answered

I not doubt about motricity and to enjoy and when i will be not in dangerous situation.
In Europe it is different, law, the 370z pumpkin aspect, waranty...

It is not permit for me to take any risk, not any arouse suspicion by (first) any different visual aspect (same pumpkin and teeth needed by same visual aspect needed).
For it, the minimum for me it is to change differential axles flanges on my 350z Quaife pumpkin before to put it on 370Z. for it, any 370z cheap used pumpkin (7AT or 6MT but R200V LSD) with to obtain axles flanges will be enought.

... a QDF-18L Quaife in perfect same new 7AT pumpkin, with 3.357 same terminal drive, will be perfect for no any issue and risk.
but i not find other fully same 7AT Pumpkin in Europe.

but, from my 350z pumkin, with Quaife, with 3.538 terminal drive (I understand about 5% difference, it is not a lot) .
with add 370z axle flanges (Differential Output Shaft Stub Axle) with numbers teeth needed... visual outside aspect will be fully same ok.
will it solve fully some thing from ABS risk, or ESP, or Cruise control...?
what it will solve and not solve?
ABS?
ESP?
Cruise control?

Thank
Best regards

I’m unsure about using stub shafts with different amount of toner ring teeth?
As the dual sensors that mount in rear cover read them & unsure what would happen...others may know. I installed a Quaife in my 3.357(RC33) diff & made a big traction difference vs the open unit I removed.
The 3.69(RC36) unit had a vlsd...and worked fine for me with abs,Cruise etc...but the cruise would get confused if you accelerated above highest cruise rpm’s (3k@90mph) & the cruise light would flash until ignition was cycled.
Hope you get everything working properly

You just have to remember that before "passing" traffic to shut off the cruise control. Otherwise the cruise control will shut itself off, as jchammond says in his post. Then you have to wait until you cycle the key for the cruise to reset cruise control.

That was my solution on my highway trips using cruise and occasionally downshifting to pass or going over 100 mph.
