I only viewed the video on my phone, so I couldn't pick anything out of the ordinary. Rev it a tiny bit and observe the noise. Next morning, check the oil dipstick to make sure oil level is between L and H as a sanity check. When did you have your oil change? What kind and/or brand was used? Regardless, the last thing you want to hear is rod knock. Hearing that sound from YouTube vids gives me goose bumps.

With us turbo/sc folks, we've got loud injectors and possibly more noise from VVEL. As long as it's not rod knock or broken VVEL actuator, we just continue driving as usual.

I think its ur half shafts, the O rings or spacers on the half shaft broke in, not broken and it has a lil play back n forth on start up toque so u wanna fix it? this is what u do:

1)get a 32mm long socket with 1/2 in torque wrench or above
2) remove wheel and then remove a metal pin that acts like a stopper for the 32mm.
3) tighten the 32mm nut to 177lb of torque
4) put all back together, test should be no clicking noise.

It's pretty hard to confuse the axle click with clutch/engine noise.

My mileage at 1700 and I changed my oil at 1200. I will check oil level when i go back but I don't think that will reveal a problem.

Go find out if the noise stops when you push the clutch in first. Its probably normal.

You could just take it to the dealer but, if you know what is wrong before you go in, you can tell if they are blowing smoke up your a$$ (some like to do that). The Q&D check for clutch noise takes about five seconds and pinpointing engine noise shouldn't take more than five minutes.

I lived near Joliet during the '70s. Waaaayyyyy too cold for this Southern Boy.
