Better order a ZSpeed one ASAP!

And if you want to upgrade your clutch or flywheel, now is the time

Ok so more or less how much would it cost to redo the whole clutch system on our car? I'm talking hd csc, flywheel, clutch, fluids, everything? I'm thinking of going FI later so will these upgrades be campatible and withstand the new power? Need help guys!!

:iagree:

I'm in it for $1150 (clutch/flywheel/CSC/CMC/SS Line/Fluid) parts and $500 labor.

is the HD CSC reusable if you ever change out the clutch or flywheel later on? or is it a one time use part like the OEM unit?

jwick 03-05-2014 08:29 AM

The HD unit is reuseable. The OEM one is too but it'll eventually fail since it's a bad design. The CMC on the other hand appears to be a one use item. If you bleed it out completely it seems to never come back.

I just hit 60,000 miles on my '09 Z. The pedal has been sticking, today it died on the highway, had to pull over and get it towed.... It wouldn't engage and I lost pressure with the clutch.... Maybe its slave cylider, or maybe I need fluid... I just hope I don't need a new clutch errrrrrrrrr..... Damn nissans.... Clutch shouldn't go out on a new(ish) car like this. :ughdance:

Why is everyone choosing the zspeed hd csc over the z1 motorsports csc which sits outside the transmission and is easier to service?
Also why do we have to choose what clutch we going to use with the car? What is we change the clutch later on while keeping the csc

Because the Z1 part has been available for less than a month and the zspeed has been available for years. Not a lot of people have used the Z1 part, while there's tons of good reviews on the zspeed part. The Z1 setup looks better, but nobody's got a lot of miles on one yet.
