I would get a matched set of O2 sensors. There may be an electrical issue such as a higher draw on one versus the other or mismatched resistance which is causing the issue.

I know of some people that have had either a clogged air filter, intake leak after the MAF or an exhaust leak. Also I would consider looking into the electrical connection at the connectors between wire harness and sensors on that side. Check for broken of crimped wires or prongs inside the plugs themselves.

Did the fuel trims change banks when you swapped the sensors?
Edit- read more carefully. The discrepancy is still on the same side. Time to look for vacuum leaks, etc. |

Reviving this old thread. I finally got rid of this code once I installed high flow cats. To the guys running stock cats (but have other breather mods), you might want to consider an option that extends the 02 sensor out.

I had this code and my mechanic found a crack in my catalytic converter. He welded it up and the code went away. He explained that if there's a difference in the O2 sensors, then the code will be triggered. Since the crack let in fresh air, then there was a mismatch between the sensors, therefore the code was on.

I just posted a comment about the PA200 code on another member's post that I was receiving. Through the process of elimination, I found out it was the gas (Royal Farms') I was using.

I'm getting this code. Pa200 bank 1 sensor 1 (air/fuel ratio sensor). Changed the sensor with a brand new one from the Nissan dealer parts department/Nissan oem, code came back a few days later. Cleared it, and it came back again a few days later. Mechanic says he performed a smoke test to check for a vacuum leak. No dice. Someone else's 2 cents says this code is common on Nissans and he suggests there may be a small crack or cracks in the exhaust manifold causing leaks, or nuts broken/missing connecting the exhaust manifold to the engine. Anyone have any thoughts?
