I was specifically looking for a stock size crank pulley. I know why the stock crank pulley was put back on, I sent it to them. With 6061-T6 having an MPA of 300+ and cast iron at 400, I understand a quality lightweight pulley will not be as strong as a factory cast iron piece. I've done more research than most, believe me. I was inquiring about the pulley design, I'm aware of all the opinions about this mod, with and without superchargers.

So the pulleys were finished up today! I didn't get to take any pictures because I was in class while everything was taken apart. I wanted to install these by myself so that I could see first hand how well they fit, but I just didn't have a breaker bar big enough to tackle this job. My mechanic did a great job. These installed with no trouble at all. I got to drive the car home, and ill do a little more driving in about an hour. My first impressions were that the car does rev up a bit quicker than normal. I put the car in neutral and did a couple light throttle touches to about 4-5k and you can definately tell pulleys were installed. I also did some WOT pulls and I'm very impressed at how well the car revs up even though these are only light weight, stock size pulleys, compared to under driven pulleys. I have had experience with under drive pulleys on my last Z and if I didn't know better, I would think that a set of under driven pulleys were installed. It's that great! I'm thoroughly impressed with this pulley set. There is zero vibrations, noises, anything. They bolted right on as my mechanic said with no troubles at all. I know the stock crank pulley is quite heavy, and I didn't have a scale to measure the GarageLine crank pulley, so maybe GarageLine can come back in and give full specs about their pulley, including price, weight, availability etc. like I said I will be doing some more driving to "break these in" and see if any problems occur, which I doubt they will. I will update this thread periodically to let everyone know how they are doing. Bump for a quality part!!! Thank you GarageLine for adding to the aftermarket support for these cars!!!

haha, I'm not butt hurt, just a bit of debate and showing my understanding :tiphat:

Awesome Review Nitrous, those were my exact thoughts on my own, CG's! Now go out and :driving:

Update! Still no problems! They still feel great and have no noises or any signs of problems! I also love that the pulleys are black. If someone were to pop your hood, they couldn't even tell you had a set installed. They look just like stock :)

No thank you Jermaine for letting me test your pulley kit! Oh btw these DID NOT have to be grinded down like some of the NST pulley kits. They just slipped right on. Another pro vs other kits.
When are these going to be produced Jermaine? How much are they going to be also?

I wonder if there is any initial tq lost due to having a lighter pulley wheel. While lightweight does allow for better performance, having a heavier pully allows for more tq.

I understand what your saying. Like you said, it allows for better performance. Off the line, it accelerates quicker because of the loss of weight off the crank. That would negate in any "feel" of lose of torque right there in my opinion. Same thing goes for a light weight flywheel too. But everyone benefits from shaving weight and seeing a positive increase in revs, mpg increase, and drive ability

heavier flywheels and pulleys only maintain momentum off throttle, it also makes clutch engagement smoother. If weight of rotational objects somehow improved torque, everyone would be rolling on cast iron wheels.

thanks for the correction, my boss and I were discussing this and I decided to post this on his behalf without considering the full picture. Much obliged.

Hi Guys,

I am in Orlando after a tuning weekend, so sorry for the late response. We should have these in 20 days or so. Just need to fit them into the production schedule.

Jermaine
