leaking oil on transmission housing

I was detailing my car over the weekend and noticed some oil leaking from what appears to be the top of my transmission housing.

I replaced my transmission fluid about 20k ago. My clutch will slip on very hard engages(which i dont do anymore because of that reason), and there is a grinding between 1-2 and 2-3 during a cold start.

Any ideas as to what might be wrong?

im curious as to how you can see anything on the top of the transmission housing when its installed? im guessing you have the vehicle in the air while you are looking...?

Your rear differential bushing is shot. That's the rear differential, the transmission is farther forward.

Not under the 5yr/60k powertrain, no.

You can try your best to sweet talk them and see what they will do for you. I personally suggest looking at the whiteline replacement linked in this thread.

son of a bitch! After this.... it might be time to get another car....

this happened in a total of the last 4 months.

AC compressor ~ $1500
Power steering lock ~ $1400
Differential Bushing ~ $1300

I can tackle little fixes, but I'm not about to try and change the bushing on my own. FAK

Thanks for your help guys!

You can still drive with a busted diff bushing... its not going to hurt anything... just might be a little more NVH in the cabin.

So weird, I've seen a lot of AC compressors get shot...

Btw, since there's a recall on the steering lock, you can get your money back
