New nissan racing v8 engine

check out youtube, they stuffed it in the new altima to run in the australian touring car series. Sounds fantastic. Could this be the engine of the future
for say; the GTR? Then we can get the GTR motor. LOL

1)

2) The engine is a destroked vk56 which is already in use with the Nissan Titan
3) The GT-R actually already has this motor in some racing series
4) The Z get the current GT-R motor....

The G IPL is almost getting the GT-R motor lol. Except its still only a 3.7l with 530hp lol. Thing is its estimated to be more expensive then the GT-R...

Almost and is are two completely different things.
Also, all we know currently is Infiniti is working on a forced feed motor to put in. Most likely it will be the "halo" car for Infiniti with power, performance, and luxury to compete against other brands.

It's an old truck motor. It's not new engine platform. And while they call it an Altima it's more akin to an Australian NASCAR. Tube frame car with Altima body skin.

I'd be looking at Mercedes v8 for Infiniti.

This is based on the same engine used in P2 LeMans/American LeMans racing series. It is based loosely on the VK56DE Titan/QX56/M56 motor.

A little nudge for the V8 Super Car series for you guys on the west coast. The V8 Super Cars will be at COTAs in Austin mid-May with the Pirelli World Challenge series. I am looking forward to checking this thing out in person myself.
