Hmmm I don't know about screeching but there's a whine or light whistle that comes from the intakes. Sounds awesome to me. Screeching doesn't sound like a normal description.

Oh, you have a 09. If its coming from the passenger side it may be "ECU WHINE" search that. There's a TSB for it.

It could just be gear whine. I hear it coming from my diff at low speeds. I couldn't describe it as a screech though.

Best take it in to the dealership if you're worried.

I don't know about a grind or screech, but the tranny whine is completely normal.

I know it's not the ECU whine that I'm referring to, as it's very high pitched, and I can barely hear it. Doesn't bother me. The whine I'm talking about sounds like transmission whine. If it's normal, that sucks, because it's very noticeable. When shifting into gear, it's definitely not a grind, it's more of like a quick cats "meow". The car only has 8k miles on it.

Whelp, took it to the dealer and took the technician on a test drive, and you're right, normal.

I can confirm that there is no TSB for it. I'm getting mine addressed/replaced in about a week under warranty though because the tech line advised my dealership to do so. If you have warranty, get the service adviser to listen to it and then an actual technician. Then have them call the tech line for further advice. It's usually not the fuel pump, radio, or other nonsense they'll suggest.

Low RPM whine is very common and not an issue. The 350z does it as well. Parking lot is where you really hear it.
