Looking at the other thread about these cams it says the price is about $630. But I swear I had seen another post that had a breakdown of costs and it was actually like 3k. I can't remember what I was looking at tho. OP what did this cost you?

TerribleONE 04-12-2012 11:46 AM

probably around 3k with install..

That was with everything, including a ~10000yen replacement VVEL actuated iirc

_I see. But it looks like OP ordered the cams only. So I'm guessing it was decided that the cams did not require other modifications to the engine and also an uprev tune would be sufficient?

install will be done just as soon as i tune the car before anything so that we see the gains after install and re tune.

the 3k pricing that you saw includes the whole package the vvel assembly etc, but according to jun you dont need that, you will not need to replave the vvel assembly if the installer is careful and capable.

The cams took approximately 2 weeks to arrive directly from jun japan from the time i placed my order with 370ztune.

And no engine modifications will be needed to install the cams, they run on oem springs without problems, a tune will be recommended though

i thought it was discussed that you should go for new springs anyway? don't remember the original thread.
