1 second longer is not a delay. Sounds fine to me. Don't stall it a lot in a short timeframe. Problem solved. Can't be good for the engine anyway. You

Don't stall it a lot in a short timeframe. Problem solved. Can't be good for the engine anyway. You also should wait several seconds after a stall, to restart.
