Not a bad guess.

The short block goes for $8,135.81. You will likely want a bunch of stuff for that. Before I get serious though, I'll feed the fanboy fantasy. Why buy a VQ37 when the VK50 exists?

Default VQ37 and VK56 and VK45 Price

Hi guys,

I guess you mean the VK56. I am also considering that as well as the VK45. If you have any details of those engines, I would like your insight.

Where can I get more details about the $8000 VQ37 engine. Any idea how much a long block would cost.
Does anyone have the SAE whitepaper on the VQ37.

I am also keen if someone has these info on the VK56 and VK45.

Thanks

No, I mean VK50. You'll have to price out a long-block a piece at a time as far as I know.

Default VK56 Long Block Price

You are absolutely right, I assumed that Nissan went from VK45 to VK56 in one go. However, my clients aren't keen on the VK50 for some reason.

Now correct me if I am wrong
Short Block = Block + pistons + cranckshaft
Long Block = Block + head + intake/exhaust manifold etc

Any idea about the long block price

If anybody finds out the price for any of these:
VK45, VK56, and VK50... let me know. Might make for a fun project at one point in time.

New engines and not used ones...

The VK50VE goes for somthing around 9,000 long block without any intake mainfold and other goodies. You could call any nissan or infiniti service department to check the price.

i have a vq37 long block, brand new 0 miles... has block, crank, rods, heads, no intake or exhaust manifold though... i bought it with the idea of doing a swap into my 350z but it'll cost more than i have available (like 15-20 thousand on top of the engine) the only thing wrong with it is a couple scratches and a broken piece of plastic on the VEL wiring clip. id trade for a good TT kit (like APS extreme TT), built longblock (sleeved with forged internals), or something along those lines or i'd sell it for 7k shipped.
