Been there, done that. Injen is gone!!!

It's because Injen switched to dry filters... when the car sits in a humid / moist or rainy environment, the filters just soak up the water making it difficult for the car to breathe. This leads to the MAF's throwing errors and then all hell breaks lose.

But after the condensation or humid is done did your car run good? What if I get different filters?

Thanks oh and did u reset the battery?

I have the injens as well, but have had zero problems with them. I would say you have a leak or a MAF sensor issue. I've drove mine through 3-4 inches of water and its terribly humid here this summer and no issues.

Geo , has the light came back on since reset?

I like my stillen G3's because of where they sit... thats the number 1 reason why I went with them over any other intake... unless I drive through a 3 foot puddle, no water is getting anywhere near my filters

No no light back on and I did a nice run last night to make Shure the car is running good. So far knock on wood it's running perfect

In my experience... Yes. It took 4 hours of the car running in an idle fashion before I was able to drive it again (usually had to let it run in the parking lot of my job).

Different filters might work, I was so irritated with this problem I just dropped the bomb and got rid of them entirely. Before I got to this point, I did see K&N had a filer replacement that was an oiled air filter. As I stated though, I didn't go this route.

As for the battery, I did reset the battery to clear the engine codes after I was certain the filters were once again dry.

Neatly to say, since I got rid of the Injens there have been no negative experiences driving in the rain. :D

I was just going to suggest the above. I just bought some Injen's off a member here but haven't installed them yet. I figured replacing the Injen filters to K&N might be an improvement...so might end up doing that to avoid potentialdry filter problems

itll be alright when the filters dry out.... maybe look for some hydro shields

Ok update. So I have been driving the car all week and it is driving like a champ. It has been raining and the car has been sitting in my driveway. So I said let's give it a start and see what happens. Remember the car has been sitting. So I start it and bam same thing happens. So I open the hood and I see water comeing in from the hood on the sides and it runs on the filters. I guess that's the problem. I don't wanna get rid of the injens :(.

I parked the car and about 5 hrs later I went to move it in my garage. Car would shut off and my vdc lights came on as well as service engine soon. After about a minute I tried taking the car around the block and it would not go past 2500 rpms and when I changed gears it would go in hard. I left the car where it was over night and in the morning I take it
For a spin and everything seems fine except the service engine light is still on(the service engine light came on when I installed the cai and went away after 3 days) so Mayb the light will go away again?. I just wanted to share my story and I will update if anything changes(hopefully for the good). I again wanna thank the370z for the help it gave me when I needed it and I will def. Support it and become a member by the end of the week. Special thanks to Arnold k and chuckd for picking up Thair phone at 12am to help me out.

that's weird this happened to me last night too:shakes head: This is the 2nd time already. only happens when its raining though and when i park my car outside for couple of hours. but after a couple of mins giving it a run. It like a champ again. I dont get the SEL though. It does give you that hard choked though...
