370z oil 5w20 or 5w30?

I used 5w20 Pennzoil platinum for my first oil change on my370z. Should I have used 5w30? I live in Sunny Austin TX.

Mine says "370Z" and it cromed out.

m4a1mustang 06-03-2011 02:50 PM

Bought used? It will tell you in the owner's manual.

Use what's recommended, 5-30w synthetic
There are many threads on this subject in the engine/exhaust section. Take a moment to read what most are using.

i use H20.

why bother using oil when it gets hot anyways. just use water. water is colder and refreshing.

bigZ 06-03-2011 03:24 PM

H20 makes sense. It is cold and refreshing.

Totally overrated, douchebag. Synthetic sex oil is just a marketing scheme to get you to buy more expensive sex oil without any performance gain.

shadoquad 06-03-2011 03:36 PM

this thread is full of win.

:iagree:Besides, 5W30 is a better oil than the Government mandated 5W20.

Whoops.... was that my outside voice?

XwChriswX 06-03-2011 03:48 PM

Just use standard Texas theory... 5w30 is bigger. :ugh2:

Has there been a motor oil thread started on this forum yet? Is motor oil the sort of thing that car drivers discuss? I am unaware of this recent trend.

In the OP's defense, he was discussing which Grade of oil... 5w20 vs 5w30 vs 5.0

Instead of the ridiculously common "Which brand is better".

Yeah, but to be fair, his question was answered on the first page, so what's the harm in a little fun?

Actually, it was answered in the manual.

And to be fair, chris had his lower ribs removed so he could blow himself.

To answer the OP... 5w20 is perfectly fine. Pennzoil Platinum is a good oil.

No, dude, seriously, how the hell do you get to your age without EVER having a pb&j. Not "I tried a few, didn't like em," but "I've never had one." I mean, that's like saying "Nope, never had milk" or "Nope, never gone swimming." It's fuckin ridiculous dude.

I wish Cwis would've applied for that job frost offered him, I'm sure the last question on that interview would be, "Have you ever had a PB&J?"
