370z oil 5w20 or 5w30?
I used 5w20 Pennzoil platinum for my first oil change on my370z. Should I have used 5w30? I live in Sunny Austin TX.

What does the oil fill cap say?

Mine says "370Z" and it cromed out.

Bought used? It will tell you in the owner's manual.
|
Use what's recommended, 5-30w synthetic
There are many threads on this subject in the engine/exhaust section. Take a moment to read what most are using. |

why bother using oil when it gets hot anyways. just use water. water is colder and refreshing. |
H20 makes sense. It is cold and refreshing.

Whoops.... was that my outside voice? |
Just use standard Texas theory... 5w30 is bigger. :ugh2:

In the OP's defense, he was discussing which Grade of oil... 5w20 vs 5w30 vs 5.0
Instead of the ridiculously common "Which brand is better". |

To answer the OP... 5w20 is perfectly fine. Pennzoil Platinum is a good oil.

I wish Cwis would've applied for that job frost offered him, I'm sure the last question on that interview would be, "Have you ever had a PB&J?"
