Can anyone reccomend a filter? They have a pretty decent selection.
1. Don't have your oil changed at Walmart.

2. I understand that most Nissan dealers will charge you a minimal fee, like $12.00, to perform an oil change -- if you provide the oil and filter. I asked my dealer and this is their rate (although I do my own o/c's, I was curious and asked them).

3. Use Purolator Pure One or K&N for your filter (my opinion).

4. Have a great day.

5. Congrats on the 40th.

K&N, Purolator Pure One, Wix, and NAPA Gold seem to be the ones mentioned most favorably here.

And you might want to do a forum search on "oil filter".

Si I called my dealer and they said if I bring the oil and Filter I will get charged $14 labor. Not too bad! If I use the nissan filter tack on $8 bucks.

Here is the breakdown $24 for five quarts of Pennzoil Plat, Nissan filter $8 labor $14 & free install of a Magnetic Oil Pan Drain Plug $14=$60 not too bad!

I'm sold and thanks for all the sound(fart nosie) advice.

Go for it, but seriously - bring your own filter. 8 bucks buys a Pure One -- easy. Even a Fram Tough Guard is superior to a Nissan OEM.

Years ago, i brought my DD to walmart for an oil change. I was watching the oil dude from the waiting room. He emptied all my change and put in his pocket.

Another time, they forgot to close shut the hood. I had to pull over on the freeway to do it.
