I too quit cold turkey. It takes will power (which doesn't cost anything) and nothing else. If anyone really wants to quit, then just have the balls and stop. Yeah, it sucks for a few days or a week. But get through that and it gets easier. It took months and months for the urges to subside but fortunately you only had to overcome the urges that lasted just a few seconds.
