i think you should get a different car.

Just because you're driving an M5 does not mean you "understand" how to handle power. An M5 is a sport luxury saloon. It's a huge car that happens to have a lot of power. People get killed driving EVOs that put out 260 because they thought they could handle that "that small turn" before they ended up across the street, rolled over in the ditch. I know someone who was 17 when he lost control of his bugeye and wrapped the thing around a pole. You seem to think that since the Z has 332 crank and the M5 has 500 crank that the Z is automatically easier to control. The Z, in comparison, has much less weight and a comparable power weight ratio. It has a smaller wheel base, which also equates to less control. It's also made mostly of aluminum. You crash at a significant speed and you'll be dead. Do yourself a favor and buy something you can afford to build. A 350Z is a better choice, not going to lie. Parts are cheaper and proven. An 08 350Z was my initial plan. |
I have a 4.2 with the wolf 850 ttbb's and a speed forece built 5 AT.
Will be running by the end of the summer in my 2003 350z. I found a shop to install it just saving my $ to pay for it. " oh Sam its to bad that we are in differnent countrys and so far apart" I just wish i could have you do the install and the tunning. Its going to cost between $4500. $ 5000.00 for the install.\ Z |
i can afford to get the parts and get then installed why? cuz i dont pay anyhting my dad said straight up to me if i got over an 4.0 he would buy a nice bradnew car ordered form factory and i can mod it any how ever i want to i have already ordered my Z its coming in May and i dont know why all you guys are hammering me down i just asked for suggestions

It is not we are discouraging you from doing this, but you must understand what it takes to do something like a TT kit and then a TT plus 4.2L stroker kit.
As someone who is getting into their first car, enjoying what you have first will help you realize what you want more. Drive the Z for a year, throw on some bolt ons and you might come to realize you do not like the car and want something else. No point in dumping in large sums of money you may not enjoy 1-2 years from now. |
that what i doin i am goin to drive it for a year look at the highs and lows and then do somthin to it

more parts? perhaps on the body kit way but otherwise its the same if not more than the Z
GT-RR also I am 100% sure there are turbo kits and other mods for a M5 |
well that was bros car any way it wasnt my car i just drove it to school and my dad bought for my brother because he had over 4.0 too see he just beein fair to me and him
my dad has multiple businesses and so he can afford to supply me bro with nice cars |
Guys, lets take it easy on the kid for a second. I know a lot of us here look down on "rich kids" who don't have to pay anything or their cars but they exist and their love for cars is no different then ours. With that said, OP I find it amazing that you are working toward a 4.0 grade point average yet don't take the time to proofread and check your spelling, simple things like spelling "pat" or referring to GMT when it is GTM shows your ignorance for perfection, and trust me that attention to detail is what you need to get a 4.0.
Now, as mentioned before, an m5 is not a 370z. I've had the privilege of driving an m5 for an extended period of time and while it is fast, it is not a sports car. Taking a Z from the factory floor and building your own "white dragon" will be similar to trying to navigate a NASA rocket when you haven't even passed flight school. If you really want to pursue the idea, contact Sam at GTM directly, tell him what you're looking for and state that you have no budget limit, he'll tell you what options you may have. I think you should enjoy it for what it is and bring it along slowly. I come from a pretty well to do background myself and frankly just because I can get it all doesn't mean I don't know my limits. Get the car, drive safely and grow with the car. |
like i said a few posts earlier :
thats what im doin i am goin to drive it for a year look at the highs and lows and then do somthin to it |
...then why is this even a point of discussion?
