Nice gains for a CBE! I wonder how much the 10 degrees difference in temperature effected the results. Probably very minimal. Congrats!

Is this the one with the Y-pipe that goes into a single outlet and remains a single outlet until the tail pipes?

If so, that's very, very interesting!

Either way -- congrats!

EDIT: Just searched, and yeah that's it -- wow -- nice gains.

Meh, I thought the topspeed was supposed to be super cheap. It's only 100-200$ off from the invidia Geminii now. They keep raising the price on ebay.

That's quite a bargain!

WhiskeyHotel 11-26-2010 04:29 PM

Rule of thumb is 10 degree reduction in intake temp gets 1% increase in HP.

I am planning on buying this set up with the Y pipe here in the next few days. I also have some Berk HFC's that I havn't installed yet. But I also have installed Stillen headers. Do you think I will have any fitment issues? Thanks

atl370z 12-25-2010 03:02 PM

not sure,, but there is only one way to find out,,,,

Chrono_30 12-25-2010 03:17 PM

Thats true...I ordered the Top Speed exhaust today, but I havn't had much luck in finding a magic y pipe....but I will let you guys know how it all works out may take a few weeks before I will be able to piece it all together....

Chrono_30 12-25-2010 03:22 PM

Seems like a debate....but how much of a difference do you think there is between the JIC and the top speed Y pipe? I hate to settle, but if I can't find a JIC then I will purchase the TS....I don't like some of the bends on the TS, but do you really think it will matter that much?

Chrono_30 12-25-2010 03:24 PM

alt370z...dont you have the TS Y pipe? and you made those gains with that one correct?

AutoX Z 12-27-2010 07:33 PM

Anyone who has/or is ordering this exhaust care to weigh it?

Chrono_30 12-27-2010 10:04 PM

From my email from the sender, Fedex has it weighting in at 57 lbs for both the CBE, and the Y pipe, I'm not sure how much of that will be packaging, but that atleast gives you an idea....

atl370z 12-28-2010 07:30 PM

By picking it up both myself before, it was def. lighter then factory exhaust .

Z2nv 12-30-2010 06:28 PM

i kinda wish i didnt buy the stillen exhaust, i over payed for it, and it doesnt sound as nice as some systems out there.

nvrbacardi 04-02-2011 10:32 PM

Are these gains with the catback and Y pipe only ???? or the test pipes are also included on the dyno.

Factory cats, but I think I know what happened.

I bet the base line run didn't reflect giving the ECU enough time to adjust to the K&N filters (takes 3-5 runs for the ECU to adjust), which he claims to have also had installed in both runs.

So... my guess is that the baseline should be interpreted as "without K&N's" (even tho' they were installed) and the second run should be interpreted as "K&N filters + CBE" -- that is a more likely explantion for that big gain in power.

nvrbacardi 04-03-2011 07:01 AM

Still those are amazing gains for the price ! ! ! ! Im still undecided whether I should go with TS or Invidia exhaust. Everyone is very satisfied with Invidia and ERZ HFC combination and the sound is amazing too. But so is this TS exhaust. I hate this decisions......

Anyway this was a great review. Thanks

Red__Zed 04-03-2011 09:57 AM

nice gains!

nvrbacardi 04-06-2011 09:33 AM

Can anyone tell if this exhaust, by been not true dual exhaust, will have any effect when combined with other mods? Im still worried about this exhaust for not been a true dual exhaust.

I'm in the same situation. I like the sound of the TS better, but it sounds it might drone on the freeway.

I just caught wind of this. From what I read, heard and saw about this TS exhaust=Winning! ha
I mean CB cost includes res Tps and piping being @ 2 3/4? Thats a pretty ill deal

hardroc86 12-13-2011 10:34 PM

Ok, I decided to give TS a chance and bought the cbe and y pipe from them. I'll post more when it comes in, should be here tomorrow! Xmas is coming early!

ImportConvert 12-13-2011 11:25 PM

K&N drop-in filters actually do anything on this car? HUGE filter-area for them to actually matter. I don't think enough air is moved for the stock filters to be a restriction, but have been wrong before.

hardroc86 12-14-2011 11:53 AM

Well most of the articles I have read show that drop ins don't do that much as for a large increase in hp. I think the best you'll see is a little more response in your throttle but not much. Good luck though...also just go CAI!

ImportConvert 12-14-2011 12:07 PM

I dug around on here. Found a verified repeated dyno of an Avg HP gain of around 5whp with k&n drop-in filters on the 370.

hardroc86 12-14-2011 01:22 PM

So like I said not a lot lol. CAI usually will net u 10 to 12 depending. Not to mention it sounds great on our cars.
