Posted this on my page as well. This is my 2nd CSC failure. First one was at 12k mi and this time it was just under 60k mi.

So last night I sensed a noticeably different and much lighter feel on my clutch pedal (clue #1). Checked CSC and topped it off (clue#2). Today I hesitantly drove it to work and sure enough, the pedal bottomed out while on the freeway and managed to steer the car to the side. I planned for it by taking a bungee cord along with me. Strapped the cord to the pedal and held it on my left hand while holding onto the steering. Right hand to switch gears. Drove it 7.5 miles using this technique through freeway traffic and on surface traffic until i got to Specialty Z. This by the way is my 2nd incident. No big deal. Knowing how it is, I was not upset but rather prepared and ready to handle it.

The good news.....They have parts!!!!!! Picked up the Maxx Street clutch flywheel combo with the Tilton slave. The other good news, they drove me to work on Greg's Cayenne. Great service. Seb was out. He and his wife had a baby over the weekend. Car was in the shop until 4:45. Thanks L.J.!

Beware -- if you experience failure and somehow manage to get it back to normal by topping it off, it does not mean it is fixed or it is ok. The leak may be slow or simply collected in the housing and not necessarily leaking out. The moment you feel softness or a change in pedal feel or keep on topping it off, it will be a matter time before it sinks to the floor. Take it to the shop before you break down.

Advice for those who has not experienced it or for anyone for that matter, have a bungee cord ready in your trunk. It will save you grief and get you to the shop/dealership safely.

That doesn't sound like quite the the same problem.. When the CSC goes, there's no way to disengage the clutch no matter what position the pedal is in, so you can't shift normally. (can still clutchless shift, and start moving in 1st with the starter motor)

The struggle continued for 7.5 miles. The bungee saved me.

CSC replaced. Engagement was about 2 inches. Not going with OEM after 2 failures.
