Has nissan upgraded this in any way with the newer models or is this still an issue even on the '15s? Asked my shop and he said the newer models

Has nissan upgraded this in any way with the newer models or is this still an issue even on the '15s? Asked my shop and he said the newer models shouldn't have this problem, but I'm a bit wary of it. Figure they fixed the oil temp issue, why not this, but I could be wrong.
