Yes, it will remember the last setting you had it on. You can even remove the modulator and it will still remember. On that note, I woudn't put it somewhere

Yes, it will remember the last setting you had it on. You can even remove the modulator and it will still remember. On that note, I woudn't put it somewhere you can see it, because the light is fairly bright, and your eyes will be constantly drawn to it. I ended leaving it on the most agressive setting and tossed it behind the middle console.
