Default Pitures of Nismo Oil Cooler from Nissan

Here is a picture of the $800.00 oil cooler for the 370Z from Nissan. There has got to be a place to purchase this brand cheaper. Does anybody have any ideas? Tried to find a link for Setrap but didn't have much luck. Found some on E-Bay, but had no idea which one would fit the Z

Setrab is a popular supplier of oil coolers...Stillen's 19 row (street version) and 25 row (race) coolers are made by them. Cheaper than the Nismo. I have the 19 row cooler installed. I have a DIY:
DIY: Stillen 19 Row Oil Cooler Install - driver side (stock PS cooler unmoved)

It contains a few helpful links/DIYs regarding oil coolers.

The Nismo one is 34R, most kits below $500 are 19R. The ones that are 25R are 550-650 anyway. I designed a kit myself and bought the best of everything, I chose the 25R since it fits my specific needs. Still, by the time I got everything in, it ended up costing me $650. I really think the Nismo one is worth it if you can afford it and plan to track the car. I do wish they come with a thermostatic sandwitch adapter.

A 34R oil cooler is probably 270-280 alone

There was an excellent thread that I believe was done by Z1 Motorsports on their comparison of the actually oil cooler kit and Z1M's kit. Z1M pretty much did a similar job along the lines of Nissan's. The thread was great because it had a lot of comparison pics.

Z1 has it for $795. They also sell a 19row Setrab Kit for around $400.

Does installing the Nismo oil cooler effect warranty? The oil cooler from Stillen will be more than adequate, but I understand why you want to go with the Nismo. I would wait it out and hope the price comes down or they make a less expensive street version.

My 25 row Z1 kit was right around ~500. If you price out the parts individually you don't have that much of a savings AND you don't have to assemble the cables. :P

For what you get, the Nismo kit isn't too much more than you'd pay to part it out yourself. If you're a first timer in putting a cooler kit together, you'd probably spend more than $850 once you've corrected your mistakes, ordered the right parts, paid for the shipping, and bought the necessary tools.

If you need a 34row cooler, the Nismo kit is a good option.

Probably a dumb question. For the occasional track day what size cooler should suffice.

19 or 25 row, depending on your ambient temps and how hard you really drive the car. I've done track days in the spring and fall with no cooler, and my days were only marginally impacted by oil temps. IE, I had to take it easy for the last 5 min of each session. I'm not a crazy redliner though. Someone driving really hard could peg the car into limp mode in 3 laps in 75deg weather without a cooler.

If you're in Tampa, you don't have to worry about really cold weather. Get a 25 row. I'd still get a thermostatic plate for those cooler ~60F Florida winter days though.
