If you use synthetic oil and you drive under "normal" conditions, you can extend both the time period and the mileage in between oil changes. With synthetic, you can easily go 5,000-6,000 miles or 6 months, whichever comes first (synthetic doesn't oxidize like regular dino).
If you're using dino oil, I'd change every 3,000-4,000 miles or 3 months, whichever comes first. |
