Did you spend all weekend on the porch shouting at the 'dang kids', old man? You probably just have AT because your knees are giving out. Or maybe your momma dressed you up like a girl growing up, and that's why you can't drive a manual :stirthepot:

I know, I know...

After I posted those links regarding all of the problems MTs have had, it was crickets in here.

I think I just figured out why AT Zs tend to have higher mileage than those with MT - we're actually out DRIVING our cars, while the MT folks are busy WORKING on theirs.

Or we drive the car like it should be driven...

Understood. Connected and engaged, but slower.

2011 with over 64K miles here. I had two days (one weekend) of downtime to replace my perfectly functioning OEM CSC with Z1's kit with the help of a knowledgeable friend. Other than that, I've had virtually no downtime with the exception of routine maintenance and a headliner replacement done under warranty.

Let's also not forget that 90st, who is the forum's resident highest mileage Z owner, has over 200K miles on his 2009 6MT :stirthepot:

i pulled my Z back out finally for a bday drive to work and she cracked 40k right before pulling into the parking lot lol

my mileage is that high but for the fact i only drive it 6-7 months a year its not bad for a 2009

Buying a sports car with an automatic tranny is what old men do. Hence the reason I couldn't find a used manual C6 Corvette in my area.

hard to believe since Pittsburgh is the unofficial C6 capital of the world.

Year, Color, Mileage, were all also factors that came into play. I looked for about 6 months before deciding on the Z. Corvettes are mostly driven by older guys and they usually prefer an automatic transmission.

It's all good I am happy with my Z, for now lol. It would definitely be nice to have more power though. I have been debating on ordering the Stillen supercharger kit. Both of my previous cars were 400 at the wheels so this thing feels slow.

C7s are sweet but I don't want to spend that much on a vehicle right now. I definitely hear you on the AARP card though :rofl2:

don't go supercharger unless all you want is 400whp. if you ever want to get real power you'll need turbo/turbos. SC just doesn't seem worth it cost wise to me but if you're 7AT you wont need tranny upgrades with a weak SC lol

You know nobody has figured out how much power is required to break a MT. AT however is another story. :tiphat:
