I have had my car for a year and I always shifted without taking my foot off the pedal. A few months ago i would lift off, pop the shifter and then get back on the gas and it was a lot smoother to me and it gave me a better ryhtim when driving. I cant get the feel down that well when i just press the gas and click the paddles or the shifter up. The car seems to jump more that way

There maybe clutches in the transmission (read multiple) but there isn't a clutch in the traditional sense that is engaging and disengaging between gears. The torque converter replaces the function of the manual clutch.

this is true. I was simply stating, he doesn't need to let off the gas as if he was using clutch pedal.
