NEED HELP (spark plugs)

I was changing my spark plug on my Z... well i try cause my regular spark plug socket didn’t fit. Anyone know what size should i use?

I believe you need a 14mm "thin walled" socket.

Yeah it needs to be a super thin walled 14. Like tissue paper thin. Amazon!

just bought one on ebay $2.99 from china 12 pt 14mm slim for bmw 3/8 drive .from china.39 cent ship. thought i should have one in the tool box! if it is a tad wide i will turn it down till it just fits. thanks for the heads up.

do you have to remove the throttle body to get to the plugs?

14mm or 9/16” 6pt chrome socket will work fine,,,my first time I picked up an Autozone 9/16” one for about $5.00 & then ordered the long 14mm from Snap-On

Easiest way is to drain down your coolant about a gallon or so & remove the upper plenum

You’ll have to remove the electrical connectors from TB’s,some vacuum lines & coolant lines that pass through the throttle bodies.
Couple sensors on back of plenum & you’re ready to lift off

Take care of silicon gasket; it’s reusable & clean TB’s & upper plenum good before re-installation....probably will have oil residue built up in intake.
TB’s can be left connected to plenum...just use good Air Intake cleaner instead of carburetor cleaner.
May want to have a roll of painters tape to put across intake ports after removal- to prevent dropping anything down cylinders

That’s the easiest way I found changing them & good for inspection purposes also
