Default AC Compressor Clutch Wiring?

The other day my car was stalling and I realized it was the AC clutch since it was smoking and melted. Turned off AC and it was fine. AC clutch won't turn back on though, just a click when I press the button yet it still lights up.
AC relay is good.

I checked some of the wiring to see if this was caused by a short.

I checked the ECV harness (F44).
Pin 3 has ground but no power. Pin 2 has neither.
And I couldn't get the clutch connector (F43) off so I didn't test that.

Should I dig deeper into the wires or just change the clutch and see if that fixes it? Will this one do or should I get the $400 OEM one?

The MAGNET CLUTCH (F43-1) has to be on. If you can't check for power at the compressor, check it at the IPDM (next to battery). Check fuse 49 (10 Amp). Some of the ESCL (steering lock) fuse DIYs will have instructions on how to get to the IPDM.

Edit: You may be able to get to the E3/F1 connector. Physical location should be in FSM somewhere.

What was the resolution? I had the same issue today. About to go out and start troubleshooting, I'll start with fuse and relay.
