As long as the finisher plate looks as good as the one for z33, im in. Even better if you can still use a boot.

Stock boot can be used.

Quicksilvers 07-27-2018 02:26 AM

Yes the stock boot can be used the best of luck.

Looks awesome.

Good luck, they were backordered and I ordered mine June 14 and still don't have it and as of last week there was no shipment from U.K. . I saw Soho's post on FB but that 5-7 day thing is cost prohibitive unless they did a "Buy in" and got a bunch of units two weeks in advance. Hell, I'm still waiting on a Ecutek Bluetooth Dongle from UK also and it's been two weeks since that order. All this is holding up the install of a built longblock.

I received confirmation from SOHO a little while ago stating that my order should ship out later this week. It appears they had a limited number in stock and now are sold out and won't get another shipment in for another month.

Why would you order the bluetooth dongle from the UK, I got mine from Specialty Z.

I did order from SpecialtyZ, the order is waiting to be completed when the dongle arrives. No one is immune from backorder and apparently I'm a backorder magnet because I have HKS Hipermax SPs coming too....on the boat.

Definitely not immune to it myself. It can be frustrating.

Didn't wanna poo poo in a sponsor's topic, but am I missing something? It's almost 3x the price of other short throws.

That's because it's a totally different animal. The normal range of short shifters manipulate distance via angle and length. The coolerworx is a more complex device that also incorporates a mechanism to basically assist in shift precision and a mechanical lockout to prevent money shifting. Outside a sequential this is the best thing we have going. And I believe it's possible we're gonna see a bolt on sequential for our platforms in the next couple years.

Rusty 08-01-2018 07:08 PM

There is a sequential shifter for the 370Z.

Nah Rusty , I'm talking about a different bird. This Bremmer unit seems promising as a bolt on and they claim they'll be working on import transmissions next. Unfortunately I think they're starting with Subie and Honda.

Very nice! When are you going to install it? When I check the status of my order on SOHO's website, for some reason it shows my order "on hold".

We installed one already before this update, but our own cars take a back seat to customer builds so it will certainly be time permitting.

Your order triggered our fraud detection for some reason (paypal email didn't match order email maybe?), I know Matt reached out to you about color and your order. If you notice we just have our products listed on our site so our system is pretty basic, so I'm constantly tweaking things.

When we add tracking number it will update to processed.

I have no idea what might have triggered the fraud detection either but I did receive an email this morning showing that it's processing. It appears everything is back on track. 😀 Thank you

Just got tracking info from Nik at SOHO. It should be here just in time for the re-installation of my upgraded sc and installation of the wastegate and boost controller. I should be able to test them all at the same time. :happydance:

Looks like it got delivered yesterday. Enjoy!

We should have a video coming out in the next few days, showing a direct comparison between stock shifter and this.

In for reviews, this thing looks like an incredible upgrade from the clunky factory piece.

Only real complaint I've heard from customers is that 5th to 4th gear shift is different and takes some getting used to.

From people that haven't bought, they don't like the shifter height (goal is to keep your hand off the wheel for the shortest time possible) or they don't like the shift knob.

We have been talking to coolerworkx and they very interested in doing some different shift knob options. For now you could just find a M12x1.5 shift knob you like.

We are going to try to keep some just black shifters with black shift knobs in stock, been really tough so far though. This next batch has some different color shifters in it, and maybe even a carbon edition :)

Quicksilvers 08-20-2018 08:47 AM

From what I have seen the Coolerworx shifter will take time to get use to. Coolerworx needs to come up with different designs and styles for their shifter knob that is the only complaint I have heard from enthusiasts. You give your business to how ever you desire.

The car just got finished up with all my sc mods so he was only able to drive it slow at low boost (wastegate spring, 7psi), but he loved it! FWIW, he's a pro drift racer and is ordering one for his car after driving mine.It has to go to Seb for re-tune before it can really get tested. I haven't been over to drive it as I've been really sick (gastritis flare up). :icon14::mad:

cv129 09-08-2018 05:38 PM

That's some high praise from the mechanic, congrats!

Thanks for sharing, great to hear the feedback from other mechanics.

Continue to get really good feedback from everyone who has installed these so far. Hoping to get a carbon version soon for the Z/G shifter :stirthepot:

I had to jump on the bandwagon and purchased one of those bad boys. It was installed yesterday and the mechanic/shop owner said that he is extremely jealous that there is not such a set up for his s2k. He said that he might just by a 370z just for the shifter lol. I did a couple of short runs and it is amazing. It will take some getting use to as the throws are really short and it kind of feels like it is not in gear because I was trying to push of pull the shifter further than it needs to go. The feed back incredible as it is notchy and mechanical in a good way. You can feel and hear it in gage each gear. I can't wait to get it off the trailer and spend some time getting use to it and dialing in my shifting.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...02db156acb.jpg
