Anyone know when these will be available for our cars? they're sold out :(

The shifter assembly? You can order it directly from coolerworx but you'll want to double check the exchange rate for price comparison.

Yea i did check, its $50 more roughly

Who'd you try ordering through? Both Soho and 9K Racing carry them.

Coolerworkx seems to be having some communication issues with our last few orders, currently we are not taking new orders until they prove they can fix our concerns.

To each their own I guess as everyone’s experiences can be different than others. I always had good luck Coolerworx. The Coolerworx shifter made a world of a difference in my Z.

It seems as the issue is that Coolerworx is messing up the orders, not that there's anything wrong with the shifters themselves. That's what I gathered from it...

Not even messing up the orders, just they were not able to give us realistic timelines and our contact went missing on us.

They have moved to a larger facility and we now feel comfortable with being able to get you the shifter in a reasonable time.

Turned back on the website now, but we still expect 3-4 weeks lead time. Manufacturing, clearing customs, actual shipping, etc.

Anyone have any advice on getting the stock boot on over the reverse ring? I’ve got my Coolerworx shifter installed, but was hoping there is an easy way to fit the boot and not have to cut the zip ties and plastic ring in the boot.

Anyone has any experience installing these? Z1 told that they would have to cut some of the bezzel, i'm guessing from the bottom to make space for the shifter, all pics show the bezzel intact from the top but nothing from the bottom. Installation instaructions that came with that shifter are for 350z

I didn't cut anything. And I hope you got the new pattern that fits the 370. My only regret is having to drill.

andy_meng1024 02-07-2019 01:10 PM

I got the 370z plate so I didn't need to drill anything. I did put part of the stock rubber pad under the Coolerworx one, but I can still hear more road noise since the isolation is much smaller than stock. Overall feeling is much better than stock shifter tho!

If you've purchased one recently, you shouldn't have to cut or drill anything since I went through the trouble of helping Coolerworx develop a 370Z-specific plate (however, prior to this it was only drilling 4 holes for the 350Z plate we were being sent).

**If anyone that purchased one of the older versions with the 350Z plate haven't swapped to the correct version, I still have the prototype plate/spacers available to make it a direct fit without drilling.

Also, like andy_meng1024, I cut part of the stock rubber boot/seal and used it to remove some of the road noise.

yea i got the new 370z plate and all, and they said that the plate is support for trans housing, but they would have to cut into to the plastic bezel that goes around the shifter?

No. Not true. I just installed mine without cutting the bezel. I did have to cut some of the plastic right under the hvac controls (can’t see it) to allow space for the lock out cable. I just didn’t want to kink it. I also had to cut the plastic ring holding the boot together. Once I slid the boot over the new shifter I used zip ties underneath to hold it tight to the Coolerworx one.
