Nitrous

Ok so ill get straight to the point. Always wanted nitrous but dispite the many people that did it in a Cobalt, i didnt think the car can handle it. So now that i have a 370z with a stronger engine i think the car can now handle it. I'm going to head to a car shop and pick a Zex Kit up for $700. Thats the basic kit. Once the winter is over im getting the Racers Kit which comes with a WOT switch, Window Switch, Purge Kit w/ LED's and a few other things.

Couple questions I have is. Is there any vendors or place i can get a throttle body spacer. I have one that i used on my cobalt but A. not sure if it fits the 370z tb and B. not sure if the nozzles are the same type of fittings.

Another question I have, what do you think the max shot size the car can handle. Since its my first time with nitrous im starting out on a 50shot until i get use to it and get more expeirence.

Last question is. Does anyone know where i can get better spark plugs...1 or 2 step colder.

As long as everything goes to plan ill have pictures up later of the kit. If anyone has a nitrous kit hooked up already, please post pictures so i can get a basic idea on how i want my set up.

You are going to regret you ever made this decision...

Nitrous is just a cheap thrill (that will cost the price of an engine in the long run). Invest in some real performance mods.

Wow I cant believe the opinions on here, I personally dont want nitrous but if used right its safe...

Rickey89 12-19-2009 05:00 PM

i say do it and let us know how it is,

note: i am just saying this because i wouldnt juice my own Z, i want to know how it is but for a few seconds of benefit and then a bigger loss down the line i wouldnt do it.

but to each his own, people have already told me not to tt my car and yet im still saving for it, so its your car build what makes YOU happy

And if used wrong

I think someone better post a link to proper nitrous use...I have no idea and personally would never do such a thing to my precious Z. But I'm in for pics and updates! :excited:

you bring up a good point. If used wrong then the same thing would happend if you were to install a TT without a proper tune:tiphat:

i hate to tell you this but that looks like a 350z kit with a single fogger and it isn't going to work. You need dual foggers and jet metered fuel supplys to work on our cars and the old 350z stuff doesn't quite work right. then you should have a dual wide bands so that you can properly size the jets for both sides of the engine to get it running the best. Twin throttle bodie engines are a pig aren't they. An old 90-96 300zx kit is probably the closest you will get so long as it doesnt use plates

edit: here's a kit that is more like what u need http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ZEX-N...item35a44f3195

One_Quick_Z 12-19-2009 05:45 PM

You could have bought my kit I was selling for 1000 and it has all of the extra parts you wanted haha

All you will need for the dual TB is an extra set of jettings and some extra steal braided line which you can get from Zex and or get the HR kit it will be the same thing. If you go with 100shot you will need a tune and one step colder plugs, Which is what I was planning on doing to my 06 350Z before I traded it in on the 370Z ha

Aslong as you use the saftey assesories you will be fine its the Idiots that use a 200 shot on the stock block that blow their motors up
