Ported upper and lower

Local shop ported these by hand. Doing a dyno run with my tune, dyno run with the ported parts untuned, then when my e tune is done putting it back on the dyno. Hopefully I won’t be dealing with any fuel issues like I did in the past, lost 18whp from my last dyno run

Looking forward to seeing your numbers! Good luck!

Don't have time to post numbers, but the results were good. We tested before anything was put on, did a run on the upper, then run on the upper and lower. Didn't change the tune and left it strapped to the dyno. Most gains were from the upper, and saw minimal gains from the upper and lower. AGAin this was all untuned. will post up number tomorrow have to sift through my viedos.

Bottom line is what I made before putting on anything. I believe this was with just the upper

This was a 5th gear run with the upper

Some parts of the powerband I picked up 14whp. Hopefully it will increase with a tune. Afr was on the lean side

Leaning the afr and increasing the volumetric efficiency will increase combustion temperature and pressure. Both of these tend to increase the tendency to knock on a given fuel. Ignition timing must be adjusted to stay out of detonation if you want your engine to live a long fruitful life.

Seb is tuning the car. Still in the process of data logging.

I'm interested to find out whatever came of this and the tuning from Seb?

Reason I'm asking is because I'm having an upper and lower ported right now and have my tuning done also by Seb.

Also wondering if I would benefit from ported throttle bodies to help out with the ported upper and lower.

And yes, I have been searching and reading, but haven't really found anything of use.

Many thanks in advance!

Hp gains with ported TB’s are obsolete, Throttle response will
Improve. It all depends who did your porting and how well of a job they did. Seb’s tuning is on point, but I have a knock issue. Don’t know if it’s a false knock or real knock, we did over 150 logs with race gas twice still kept knocking which I believe is false knock, but to be on the safe side we kept the timing down. But I ran with another Z making over 340 and we are neck and neck. I never went back on the dyno after the tune. Hey if you’re interested me and SS firehawk signed up for track day at Sebring October 7th through chin motorsports.
