Default Please help!!!! UpRev issues after tune :(

Hey guys, been building my 370 for the last 3 months and finally finished the last mod so we could actually begin the UpRev. Ill try to give a quick low down so everyone knows where i am at first.

Did a base line on a dyno jet and got 268 hp at wheels. After all mods i was up to 304 hp, then with a 75 shot off the ZEX we were getting 371. Everything ran great and smooth with no issues.

Purchased the uprev tune and got the map installed and now the car is dangerously running. In total we were only able to gain 6 hp with the tune (im not happy with that gain especcialy for the price) but the worst part is that now when i fire the nitrous it throws the knock sensor out and cuts all the timing basicly making the nitrous Do nothing. Now my pulls with nitrous are 330 if im lucky.

We called uprev and emailed them our maps etc... they called us back and told us to basicly turn off the knock sensor (change the points it reads etc...). Everyone in the shop was worried about doing this because im risking blowing the engine should it actually knock bad and the sensore is basicly off.

What im asking is this, does anyone know what could be causing this? Should i actually turn off the knock sensor? Am i risking a lot by doing this?

The issue is not the nitrous kit, its 100% the uprev tune. The car ran better without uprev, the issue can be seen where as soon as the nitrous fires the ecu emmeideatly reads knock and cuts all the power.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Sounds to me like the stock tune was rich enough to mask a lean out condition with your Nos.
The new tune is probably slightly leaner & correct mind you, & now you have knock.
You need to get to the root of the problem & correct the knock situation.
Have you mapped the AFR's when you fire the Nos etc.
Surely its just Fuel & timing.
If anything, it sounds like the tune is stopping your engine Grenading.

UPDATE!!!

Ok guys, so after almost 8 days on the dyne and nothing but issues with up rev, we got a call back personally from Omhar with up rev! The issue has been RESOLVED!!!! it was a bad code in the programming apparently. Omhar was able to find the issue and re wrote a map for my car, after installing the new MAP everything was fixed and not only fixed, we gained an additional 6 WHP on NA and almost 380 on Nitrous.

Im so glad Uprev pulled through. We thought the engine was toast but things are looking good now.

Next time your having issues with the tune and nothing makes sense, maybe call them up and ask if they can check the code, apparently even they can make mistakes sometimes!

Thanks for the help guys!
