I had this problems when I first got the Z. First private purchase for me and seller did not smog. I had everything in check but the cats. It said

smog check failure ..
I had this problems when I first got the Z. First private purchase for me and seller did not smog.
I had everything in check but the cats. It said it was not ready. From what i have read and all I have done is drive it. I drove less than 200 miles, but i also ran it pretty hard as I was still pretty excited to own a Z. About an hour before my smog, I went out and did a handful of WOT in high rpms. I read that heating up the cat before a smog is good.. dont count me on that though. So, i dont know at which point where my cat was "ready", but I had done the above in 2 days.
