Need help with my 370z

So I was just driving around last week and stopped to a Red light. After Green light shows up, I hit the gas and as I was accelerating suddenly the car is doing a STOP and GO motion while I was pressing the gas. So I was freaking out and pulled over right away, waited for a couple mins and decided to go again and after that car is fine and didn't do the stop and go motion. This is the first time it happened since I got the car.

Today, I was just cruising around and came to a Red light. After green light, I hit the gas again and as I was accelerating the STOP and GO motion started happening again while I was pressing the gas and SERVICE ENGINE light came on. Idk, what's the problem but I was guessing that it has something to do with the FUEL PUMP or FUEL INJECTORS. Can somebody confirm this for me? I've only owned the car for over a month and bought it preowned. It's AT transmission and I do have warranty for this car

how much gas do you have in your tank? sounds like the fuel starvation issue that commonly happens.

My tank is always Full. Only used premium. I put gas every week before it even hits half of my tank

O2 sensor may have went bad ? Just a guess but you can confirm by reading the code with an OBD tool and confirm what code it is throwing, then you can proceed from there.

Thanks for the reply but what is OBD tool? Sorry but I'm a complete newbie to this stuff. About to go to Nissan tomorrow to have it checked

Don't go to Nissan. Go to your local Auto store, ask them to scan the car with an OBD reader to get the codes. It will be much easier to diagnose with the codes.

if youre outta warranty I wouldn't go to the dealership. Go to an indie shop you can trust or is recommended in your area.

also have you checked the fuel pump?

I'm going to guess fuel related. Injectors, pump, filter.

Please describe stop and go motion in more detail with simulated sound

Preferably in the form of a video. Hold your hands out as if gripping a steering wheel. Also incorporate the emotional feelings of the situation on your face when the "stop & go motion" starts.

Yea, follow what BC and Sgt said. Out of warranty, stay away from the dealer. Any reputable mechanic shop in your area can hook up the OBD scanner to read the codes and let you know what they are.
