You should make a copy of your coolant lines so you can sell them with your adapters. So it can be more plug n play for us less mechanically inclined folk :D

P.S. This is sign I shouldn't attempt to drop my engine :rofl2:

I can make them for sure. I already took measurements of all the lines and even bought a kit to test them for leaks. If enough people are interested by the time I'm done, then I can sell the lines and adapters together.

If I wasn't a college student and had more savings I would of even had the inlets and downpipes done :/ maybe another time.

Im very interested my friend! just want to see how much money I can save vs buying a FI TT kit.

I already have the GTR manifold with turbos on my Ebay watch list :stirthepot: If i dont buy those, I have a shop here on PR that have them and I know they can sell me a pair!

As of right now, I'm just missing the downpipes, air filters and welding the bov brackets on my intercooler piping. I'm just at about 4k spent (Inc. clutch and flywheel) and intercooler so I'm hoping my budget will just stay under 6~k with a tune.

Compared to the FI TT kit which is arguably the best kit out there, I'm still at less than half the cost of their kit.

Now don't get me wrong, If I could afford the FI kit, I would have gotten it as it takes way less time to install and less downtime. But saving more than 6k to be spend on doing way more modification is worth it for me since the Z isn't my daily and I did it in winter. Just wish I had started earlier :)

Anybody know if these are normal or are they cracks in the subframe? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8544454fec.jpg

I reckon they'll be normal surface cracks on the aluminium casting and nothing to worry about.

Nah not normal at all. You're car is pretty much totaled. Tell you what, I'm feeling generous... Sell me your totaled build for 15k. Wait, finish the build first then sell it to me for 15k.

Nice try! I got a few more things done but for 15k it will have to be as is.

:iagree:

If you want peace of mind. Get someone who does NDT and have them dye-check it.

NDT - non-destructive testing

New update. Was about to finish installing the engine but the driver side inlet didn't clear one of the AC lines :( so i will have to cut it in half just like the passenger side.

All things considered, I'd say that's not too bad!
