Another small update! Used a 90 degree fitting instead for the coolant line and it made it fit a lot better.

I also got all the downpipe studs that were stuck out and put new ones in. Hoping these ones I got from a local parts store hold up to the heat..

Also, changed up the breather hoses a little but to clean it up. Passenger side is pretty much set and now it's time for the driver side

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to drive my car again! I'm hoping to have the engine installed this week if all the parts come in then I can finally install all the parts back in the car.

Just did some heat protection today for the wires near the turbos. Any ideas for more wires to wrap?

I think it looks pretty good... When I did mine I wasn't sure if the zip ties would last so I tied my heat wrap up with stainless steel wire instead. Not sure if the concern was valid or not. You may as well also wrap that other part of the harness that goes up the back there as well. This is one area where you really can't overdo it.

Keep an eye on the black plastic harness cover on the passenger side.. IIRC the harness isn't even wrapped under there (but my memory of it is fuzzy)... I had to remove mine regardless because it interfered with the manifold, but if it sits anywhere looking at a cherry red turbine it may not survive.

They do make high-temp zip ties, and aluminium zip ties that work great near stuff like that. The Al ones are a bit expensive though.

You can get the metal zip-ties at Harbor Freight for like, $5 for a pack of 20 or so.

Edit: I remembered wrong, it's $6.99 for a pack of 25:

Make sure you wrap the crank and throttle sensors if you have not done so. I fried mine on a track day!

Where were you when I spent hours meticulously tying mine up with SS wire? Nice find! Will definitely pick some up to keep on the shelf.

No TT here but I remember hearing people melting vacuum lines near the snails. Just something to consider.

I actually have those but they're such a pain to use. I used them near the turbos but they never get tight enough..

Not to mention they might as well be razor blades. Why the hell do they have to be so sharp? :rofl2:

Unfortunately I had plenty of problems along the way so the cost of the adapters is what killed my original budget of 5k.

Right now, including clutch (1300) and 800 the tune locally it's about 6k
