You also "might" be hitting the start button too quickly. Give it a leisurely push. Also, if you have the fuse pulled for the steering lock, that affected mine greatly.

Also, if you have the fuse pulled for the steering lock, that affected mine greatly. Sometimes I push the button and nothing happens. I wait, then it starts. It's like it's taking a nap and doesn't wake very quickly. Even though previous manual cars didn't require the clutch to be pushed in to start, it's always been a good idea.
