they posted a flow video and it's pretty good.
the avg cylinder flow stock in rounded numbers was 190cm3 the avg cylinder flow of the new lower was 256cm3 that's a pretty decent increase. I would assume much more than the port and polish that I've seen most people do recently. |
If they don't charge an arm and a leg they will sell quite a few I think.

the numbers show around 25-30% increase in air flow volume. I have no idea what the increase is on an OEM ported lower to compare. so for now its hard to say. once they release and we see some dyno numbers that'll be the deciding factor. |
Add some JWT cams in the mix!

A new lower doesnt make sense. It cant get any bigger vs porting unless you port the head too or you'll have a big lip. Obviously a machined piece will be more accurate vs hand porting or maybe give it a different shape or funnel? Maybe the runner length will get longer or shorter?? Will that add or move power around? If it does you could always take a oem lower and just machine the top or each side to shorten it. Hmmm what would a shorter lower do? What about machining a spacer making it longer?
We do need a uppet though! |
