Clutch flywheel combo?

Looking to get a new clutch and flywheel. Any suggestions? Also need to change my csc. I can use all the help. Thanks

Call Joe at ZSpeed - he'll recommend the best set up for your driving needs. Lots of people have been happy with the Southbend set up... it's where I'm leaning when I finally replace my clutch.

Only downside is he's currently out of stock of the HD CSC. So you might consider the Z1 CSC Elimination Kit. Whatever you do, don't get another OEM CSC.

Very pleased with my Southbend clutch, light flywheel, CSC setup. When upgrading CSC don't forget new clutch master cylinder.

Anyone know of the z1 clutch kit and Flywheel combo?

Since I don't track the car, I went with the following setup and very happy with the setup:

Fly wheel (19lbs): South Bend Clutch DXD Black Billet Steel Flywheel
Clutch: South Bend Clutch Stage 2 Daily Clutch Kit with Quiet Disk
CSC: ZSpeed HD Concentric Replacement Clutch Slave Cylinder CSC

The noise from the 19lbs fly wheel is just a little noisier than stock but SRM rev up a lot faster now. I can't even hear it from inside the car with the window roll down if park outside. I can hear the fly wheel noise just a little if park inside the garage. The clutch just a bit heavier than stock but still very easy to drive in heavy traffic.

I have the Z1 clutch and flywheel on my Z along with the ZSpeed HD CSC. I autocross my Z and in the 1.5 years I've had it not a single problem.

It does have a decent amount of flywheel noise when the car is neutral fwiw.

Thoughts on the z1 csc elimination kit? How bad is the flywheel noise? What does it sound like lol?

I notice flywheel chatter on my stock clutch set up (it's not too noticeable at idle). You probably don't want a lightweight flywheel if you are concerned about the noise.

I only really notice it when the car is in neutral. Best way to explain the sounds is a low pitched metallic rattling sound.

As far as the Z1 elimination kit I can't say. Also for me, the rules for the autox class I run in doesn't allow for changing the method of slave cylinder operation. ie. csc stays csc, pull type stays pull type, etc.

How does the clutch pedal feel? A stiffer feeling? Appreciate all the help.

It was a little stiffer but nothing crazy. Still 100% DD-able with good road manners.

Do you feel the car revving up faster with the light flywheel? Noticeable diff?

IMHO it rev'ed faster than it did stock but it wasn't a big change.

How much did the whole setup cost you?
