Default Clutch Issue

So I'll preface this by saying I've done some research and reading on the past forum threads and I'm aware of the clutch slave issues our cars have (as well as the steering lock failure). I'm just not sure if what I've exeprienced is indicative of the Clutch Slave issue as it hasn't persisted at all.

Last night when I was returning home from dinner with my girlfriend I hard launched the car from a dig for the first time since I've had it (the car has been shifted like a baby before and since then.) I just wanted to get a feel for the power from a stand still. The car launched well but then the clutch pedal sunk to the floor and the car was just bumping the rev limiter. Classic symptoms of the clutch slave issue. The thing about this is that directly after and all day today I've had no issues at all. I'm going to check my clutch fluid level to make sure it's where it should be but other than that, clutch pedal feel, engagement, and grip all seem to be fine. I'm not getting any slippage at all. The Clutch seems to have it's natural spring etc. The car is technically under warranty for another year and 100,000 miles so if the slave gives within a year I'm not to worried about getting it fixed. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this apart from the failure itself?

Heads up I also plan to pull that 10amp fuse for the steering lock when I get home just to be safe. Thanks for any responses guys!

You're csc is failing... You will notice it will start happening more frequently especially after spirited driving.

There's a chance that it's just the seals in your CMC failing. However, that's probably also a sign that the CSC seals are failing or will soon. If the seals aren't outright busted already, the fluid level may not drop at all. Dirt particles in the fluid gets inside the seals and allows air into the system without the symptom of fluid level dropping.

And if you want to launch the car, upgrade the CSC to an aftermarket one (several options, check out Z1 and ZSpeed). It is well known that the stock CSC cannot take the abuse of repeated launching.

CSC is my opinion, good luck regardless of what the problem is. I've come to conclusion that car problems is one of the worst things in life lol
