Background
Our stroker upgrade represented the pinnacle of engineering for the VQ35DE platform. From our own internal testing, the components performed flawlessly. The very first GTM 2006 Nissan 350z that received this build achieved 855whp (DJ) at 22psi. See it here. After the first 3000 miles, that engine was removed and completely disassembled for an extremely thorough inspection. There were no issues found whatsoever, and the engine was reassembled. However, we thought of ways of further advancement of the VQ35DE platform, with considerably more demanding road race applications in mind. We present those improvements, and the advantages of the said configuration here.


STILLEN Power Steering Cooler Kit: STILLEN designed this Heavy Duty Steering Fluid Cooler to handle driving habits ranging from casual cruising to extreme canyon running. If you are auto-crossing, doing some extreme driving, or have swapped your wheels & tires for a wider and larger diameter set, you are taxing your stock steering fluid cooler and risking the chance of boil-over or cooking the fluid.

The differences between the stock steering Fluid Cooler and the New STILLEN unit are capacity and volume. The reservoir for the STILLEN unit is larger which eliminates the chance of boil-over. The lines are also larger in diameter, allowing more volume through the steering system.

Cusco LSD - Type RS: The Cusco Type RS LSD had proved to be capable of competition use in the All Japan Gymkhana Championship without overhauling a single time during the season. With all drivers and teams finishing with good or championship results at the end of the season. According to Cusco's in house research, initial torque is 50 to 70% lower compared to the conventional cone plate type LSD enabling lower drive friction and better response.
  • Low power loss means better lap times for even the mild tuned of cars
  • Chattering is kept low
  • Improved durability as clutch plates are low pressured
  • The LSD efficiency is higher with smoother oil flow between plates.
  • Special precision springs, set in the pressure plate, assure steady coil movement
  • Clutch plates do not stick together like conventional cone plate type LSDs. Therefore less clutch plate wear or deterioration occurs.

There are three ways to set your Cusco Limited Slip Differentials: 1 way, 1.5 way and 2 way.
  • 1 way LSD: Specially suited for front wheel drive cars and AWD front axle cars. Activates under acceleration, and acts as a true LSD when the throttle is off. This CUSCO 1 way LSD will improve lap times without a doubt.
  • 1.5 way LSD: Activates under acceleration while the under-steer under deceleration is less than on a 2 way LSD. Recommended for those who have a hard time with under-steer.
  • 2 way LSD: Recommended on rear wheel drive cars and AWD rear axle cars. Activates on both acceleration and deceleration. Recommended for those who prefer aggressive driving and big angle drifting.



Okada Projects Plasma Direct: A revolution in ignition technology!! The Plasma Direct is the ignition coil with a high power amplifier built in to it. The Plasma Directs produce 4 times more spark energy than stock coils and also generate an ultra fast multi spark discharge of 10 sparks up to highest RPM. Cusco LSD - Type RS: The Cusco Type RS LSD had proved to be capable of competition use in the All Japan Gymkhana Championship without overhauling a single time during the season. With all drivers and teams finishing with good or championship results at the end of the season. According to Cusco's in house research, initial torque is 50 to 70% lower compared to the conventional cone plate type LSD enabling lower drive friction and better response.
  • Low power loss means better lap times for even the mild tuned of cars
  • Chattering is kept low
  • Improved durability as clutch plates are low pressured
  • The LSD efficiency is higher with smoother oil flow between plates.
  • Special precision springs, set in the pressure plate, assure steady coil movement

The differences between the stock steering Fluid Cooler and the New STILLEN unit are capacity and volume. The reservoir for the STILLEN unit is larger which eliminates the chance of boil-over. The lines are also larger in diameter, allowing more volume through the steering system.

GTM 70MM Competition Radiator with heat exchanger: GTM is proud to offer an aluminum racing radiator for the 370Z/G37 powered by the VQ37VHR motor. Because the stock engine is capable of supporting more horsepower than its predecessor, the cooling system needs to be addressed when making substantially more power than stock. The GTM 70mm radiator is capable of dissipating more heat as well as having a higher capacity for coolant. This allows high horsepower cars to compete in endurance racing on a road course where the stock radiator would be overloaded. On extreme power cars (1,000bhp+) dedicated to drag racing, the extra capacity of the racing radiator enables the car to store additional heat that can be dissipated as the car is returning from a pass.

These radiators are made 100% made in the USA using manufacturing processes to reduce waste, increase repeatability in manufacturing, increase efficiency in production, and most important of all, increase quality. This means that the fit and finish of GTM’s aluminum racing radiators is second to none. Each weld is show quality and the components are protected throughout the manufacturing process to ensure a mar free finish.

Because the factory radiator is permanently attached to the A/C condenser, all GTM Aluminum Racing Radiators come with a new A/C condenser to replace the stock one.

This radiator has provisions for an Automatic car with the internal heat exchanger. Because water is an excellent conductor of heat, the internal heat exchanger dissipates vastly more heat than the stock heat exchanger (even with an auxiliary aftermarket transmission cooler!!). Deatschwerks Fuel Injectors: DeatschWerks takes a unique approach to high flow fuel injectors. The competitors offer only a couple different styles and sizes of injectors. Their customers are left to their own means to choose the right injector and figure out how to fit them to their car. Making a universal injector fit can be time consuming and often involves expensive fuel rails, spacers, o-rings, and electrical connectors. At DeatschWerks, our injector offering is application specific. Our injectors are engineered to fit your OE harness, OE fuel rail and OE manifold.
  • Fuel rail – upper o-rings come in several different sizes. Ours will always match the OE fuel rail.
  • Manifold – injector fitment into the manifold can be tricky. We make sure ours fit right to minimize the chance of a boost or vacuum leak.
  • Injector height – fitting the manifold and rail doesn’t mean a thing if the injector is too short or too long. 95% of ours are the same height as OE. If it isn’t we include the proper rail spacers.
  • Electrical connector – soldering in new connectors is not only an inconvenience, but it can also introduce a conductivity weak point into the injector driver circuit. We make fitting the OE harness a top priority.
